How do you charge for your design services?…"I follow a two-step fee structure for my design services; flat fee and hourly fee. Design Concept and budget is Flat Fee: Prior to our collaboration, I establish a flat fee covering the design plan/concept and budget. Each project is unique, I will send you a scope of work with a detailed list and the cost for professional design services. Project Management Hourly Fee: Upon approval of the design concept and budget, I charge an hourly fee for project management which includes; procurement, delivery coordination, working with tradespeople, and final setup.

How would you describe your design style or aesthetic to clients?My overall design style can be described as a contemporary foundation with a touch of tradition, where color and pattern play vital roles in creating visually stunning and personalized spaces for each client.

Do I go shopping with you?Yes & No… Yes...I do include you when we shop for furniture like sofas and chairs, as it's essential to ensure functionality and comfort for you. While I may involve you in certain parts of the process, there are some aspects that require dedicated time to meticulously craft the design that I do on my own.

Can I live in my home during a renovation?Depends on the rooms you’re doing…. I will give you my best advice and help with a temporary home if required.

My contractor said he can help with design is this a good idea?My question I would ask him/her is…. Did he/she go to school for interior decorating and/or design if the answer is yes he can do it if the answer is no I they can’t.

How long is a renovation and/or decorating a room take?Full home reno usually takes- 8 months to a year… could be longer depending on the space of the details of the project Reno extension/addition - at least 6 months Kitchen Reno - 2 to 3 months Bathroom reno - 3 to 3 months Living room and family room, dining room - 3 to 4 months Laundry room, mud room - 2 to 4 months Master bedroom - 3 to 4 months Kids bedrooms - 3 to 4 months

What is your favorite room to design for clients?My favorite room to design is any space that involves fabrics, such as living rooms, family rooms, dining rooms, master bedrooms, or any bedrooms. While I also appreciate the extensive renovation projects in the beautiful transformation that happens, I particularly enjoy the hands-on experience of working with textiles, as well as the process of crafting a harmonious design through the interplay of colors, patterns, and textures.

What does it cost to renovate a kitchen or bathroom?If you’re updating the kitchen which may include painting, kitchen cabinets, new countertop, backsplash Lighting hardware for the average kitchen it’s about 40,000.00 and up If you’re completely gutting your kitchen anywhere from 70,000 and up. If you’re updating a bathroom but not changing the layout 30,000.00 If you’re from completely gutting a Bathroom, 45,000.00 It really all depends on the complexity of the project and how much you’re willing to spend.
